Foods Recommended Against Depression

Depression is an emotional disorder at manifested by an overwhelming sadness, anxiety, exaggerated pessimism and melancholy state. The causes of depression are installing multiple and come from very different areas. Death of a loved one, a substantial material loss or a serious medical problem are factors that can push a person into depression. On the other hand, hormonal disorders, menopause, stress, fatigue, excessive drinking or drugs, chronic physical pain trigger can be causes of depression. Studies have shown that depression has a genetic aspect, but also unbalanced diet can cause its appearance. In the early stages, when the state is not very pronounced and do not affect the personal style of life, depression can be controlled by means of food.

Fish and seafood

The nerve cell membrane contains mostly fatty acids, which is why a diet based on Omega-3 will maintain the health of neurons and thus the nervous system. Remember that the human body is unable to produce Omega-3, and we need to ensure appropriate intake of food. Eat daily seafood and fish, especially salmon because it contains selenium, a mineral effective in combating of depression and anxiety.

Vegetables for depression

Studies have shown that people experiencing depression have a pronounced lack of vitamins and minerals in the body, particularly vitamin E and B3, and a deficiency of carbohydrates. So try as much as possible to enter the menu broccoli, spinach, cauliflower, beans, lentils, chickpeas, and rice or potatoes. Fruits

A banana a day is a natural and safe solution against depression because it contains a very high percentage of B vitamins, which inhibit nerve disorders.

Seeds and grains

Whole grains, besides fiber intake ensure the body contains vitamin B1 fundamental role in the proper functioning of the nervous system. Also, peanuts, walnuts, flaxseed and buckwheat are the recommended depressive persons.

Animal products
