Indians Remedies, Herbs


Everyone marvels at the efficiency of Oriental natural treatments, able to heal all kinds of diseases spectacular. If Chinese therapies are officially recognized worldwide by doctors and hospitals application allopathy why I have confidence in the Indian 4,000 years old, which is said to have received direct people from the gods? Ayurveda, one of the oldest therapies in the world, shows itself to be an excellent method of treatment that addresses both body, mind and spirit. If you struggle any easier problem, try one of the following remedies recommended by the Indian Ayurvedic literature. Our little FAQ limited to herbs that are found in trade. It will be the cure! 

Basil (Ocium sanctum)
Medicinal parts: leaves, flowers, seeds and roots.
Cough, colds, flu: 10-12 washed and crushed leaves and a teaspoon of ginger, fry in a pan on low heat until the leaves are tender. Add a cup of water and boil for a few minutes. Add a teaspoon of honey and drink.
- It makes infusion of 10 to 15 leaves two cups of water. Drink warm.
- Squeeze the juice of the leaves 10-15; add a teaspoon of ginger juice and a teaspoon of honey. Mix and drink morning and evening.
- Use powder of dried basil leaves, which pull the nose to remove nasal congestion.
Digestive problems: boil 20 basil leaves in 250 ml of water and drink.
Loss of appetite: 4 chew basil leaves in the morning on an empty stomach.
Skin problems: making a few leaves of fresh pasta and some water. Apply on affected area. Additionally, consuming a teaspoon basil leaf juice daily.
Fresh basil, put in a vase, help air fresheners from the house and drive away insects.

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum)
Medicinal parts: the bark, the leaves dry powder, oil, leaves, roots or bark.
Colds, bronchitis: Mix one teaspoon of cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, black pepper, nutmeg and cloves. Add three teaspoons of raw sugar and crush until you obtain a fine powder. Take one teaspoon of powder mixed with honey, twice a day.
Influenza: Boil one teaspoon of cinnamon in a cup of water, low heat until reduced by half. Strain, add honey and drink hot.
Insomnia: add half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a cup of warm milk. Drink before bedtime.
Gingivitis: Boil one teaspoon of cinnamon in a cup of water. Let it cool and gargle.
Cellular Regeneration: is a mixture of equal parts (one teaspoon) of cinnamon, nutmeg and bay leaves dry. Place the mixture in a cup of hot water. The content is divided in two and drinks during the day.
Nervous tension: Take cinnamon powder so as grab with your fingers, mix with honey and drink before bedtime.
Skin problems: make a paste of cinnamon and lemon juice and apply on the affected area daily.
Toothache: put two drops of cinnamon oil on a piece of cotton and apply around the tooth.
Nausea: eat the little cinnamon powder.
Stimulation of lactation: daily consumes a teaspoon of cinnamon mixed with hot water, milk or eaten as is.

Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum)
Medicinal parts: dry buds, clove oil.
Asthma: Mix 5 drops of clove oil with a teaspoon of honey and a clove of garlic. Drink before bedtime.
Bad breath: chew two cloves daily.
Indigestion: fry two tablespoons of cloves and add a cup of boiling water. Allow to soak for 30 minutes. It sips one teaspoon four times a day.
Muscle pain or back pain: apply warm oil of cloves to the affected area and massage gently.
Pain gums or throat: gargle with an infusion of clove or four cloves chew.
Toothache: Apply clove oil around the tooth, the gum.
Nausea: Fry half teaspoon of powdered cloves, mix with one teaspoon of honey and eaten. In India, cloves are chewed with herbs and betel leaves for fresh breath and help digestion.

Peppermint (Mentha spicata)
Medicinal parts: leaves, seeds and oil extracted from whole plant.
Digestive problems (indigestion, flatulence, nausea, diarrhea) washed mint leaves, place in a bowl, add salt, 1 to 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, a teaspoon of coriander powder and a pinch of seeds Caraway. Add a little water and make a paste. Take a teaspoon of this paste twice a day, before meals or in their time.

Nausea: is put under the tongue half a teaspoon of mint powder for 15 minutes, then swallow.
- Boil a teaspoon of dried mint and half a teaspoon of nutmeg into a cup of water. Tea is drunk warm.
Pimples and acne: add some mint paste (made from crushed leaves) to the affected area or apply on pimples fresh leaves and leave overnight.
Diarrhea: is a steep two teaspoons of dried mint leaves 250 ml mineral water (let soak for 6 hours) and drink three cups a day.

Cumin (Chimionum cyminum)
Medicinal parts: fruit (seeds) dry.
Diarrhea: fry 2-3 teaspoons cumin seeds and grind them finely. Add a pinch each of ginger, cinnamon and pepper. Mix them in a cup of yogurt. Eat twice a day.
- Mix a teaspoon of cumin, ginger, cinnamon and honey. Eat half a teaspoon each, three times a day.
Digestive problems: boil a teaspoon of cumin in a cup of water. Add a teaspoon of coriander juice and salt to taste. Drink a few days before meals.
Tiredness: make a mixture of half a teaspoon of cumin, coriander, pepper and lentils. Simmer least a cup of water, add salt and drink.
Flatulence: Mix equal amounts of ground cumin seeds, pepper and ginger. Make infusion. Drink hot tea twice a day, several days in a row.
Insomnia: Sprinkle a teaspoon of cumin powder on a sliced ​​banana. Eat a portion each night.
Stimulation of lactation: Mix a teaspoon of cumin a little unrefined sugar. Drink warm milk at bedtime.

Coriander (Coriandrum sativum)
Medicinal parts: roots, leaves, seeds, flowers, fruits, whole plant-derived oil.

Headaches: is a paste of dried coriander seeds and water, applied on the forehead.
Nosebleeds: put 5-6 drops in each nostril oil or coriander juice.
Sinus Problems: Boil 2-3 tablespoons coriander seeds in a liter of water and do inhalations.
Swelling: Apply on wet bulge and crushed coriander leaves. Simultaneously, drink an infusion of coriander (a teaspoon of seeds per cup of boiling water).

Garlic (Allium sativum)
Medicinal parts: the bulb garlic oil.
Osteoarthritis: Apply a paste obtained from crushed garlic, mixed with water to the affected area. Eat 1-3 cloves of garlic daily. Asthma: boil three garlic cloves, minced in a cup of milk and drink before bedtime.
- Clean and crushed garlic clove, boil it in ½ cup wine vinegar. Eat cold evening 1-2 teaspoons before bed.
Digestive problems: two garlic cloves, put in a glass of water or warm milk and drink it on the spot.
Fever: Mix one tablespoon of garlic with a bunch of fresh basil leaves, finely chopped. Add a cup of water and simmer until reduced by half. Consume two tablespoons each, twice a day.
Insect bites: crush two cloves of garlic, rub the affected area, leave on for 10 minutes and rinse with cold water.
Rejuvenation: eat three cloves of garlic daily or regularly use garlic in your diet.
Sinusitis: Mix a teaspoon of minced garlic, a teaspoon of turmeric with two tablespoons of honey. Eat a teaspoon daily.
Skin problems: eat three cloves of garlic or taking garlic oil capsules daily.
Garlic is a natural aphrodisiac and stimulates the reproductive system.
